Designer Clothes Sale 15/08/2010

We would like to thank all those involved in our designer clothes sale fundraising event, it was a great success!

The day featured beautiful clothes, a Brazilian Dancer, models, a hair stylist, yoga, a DJ, an auction and independent designers selling samples of their clothes. There was also a tasty treat of cup cakes that were beautifully made by our volunteer Yee Chow, which were enjoyed by all. We had over 10 volunteers helping promote the event out in Brick Lane and inside selling clothes and accessories and were a great help.
Due to all the help and shoppers that came, we raised £750 towards our projects!!

SHANTI FUN DAY was a great success!

The sun was hot and the music was hotter-  last Saturday’s (3rd July) Fun day at Outdoors in the City was a sizzling success, raising over £1300. Folks flocked to the all day event for face painting, sumo wrestling, live music, games & a tasty BBQ in the glorious sunshine.

The main event of the day- the PowerFan jumping saw tens of volunteers (even one dressed as Superwoman!) hoist themselves up a 50ft pole and freefall down to the ground… their screams heard over the music! All in an all a winner of an event- & a huge thank you to the volunteers that gave their time on Saturday, to everyone who attended and finally to Outdoors in the City who, without them, the event wouldn’t have been possible.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tom & Paul who completed the Asics run donned in bright pink wigs! They received a great response and were snapped by many runners,spectators and paparazzi as they completed the 10km run. 

Tom & Paul also experimented with some great fundraising ideas by hosting football games,pool tournaments, handing their sponsor sheets round their local and even joining our box collection fundraising team!
