MAITI Nepal was born out of a crusade to protect Nepali girls and women from crimes like domestic violence, trafficking for flesh trade, child prostitution, child labor and various forms of exploitation and torture.

SPARSH is an NGO based in Darjeeling. It was established in 1995 and registered in July 1998; and evolved from a group of parents of special children / children with disability (CWD). The organization over the years has refined the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) approach - which brings rehabilitation within the reach of isolated rural beneficiaries.

Shanker Foundation, Darjeeling Network of Positive People (DjNP+), is an organisation and forum that addresses the legitimate concerns of people and families living with HIV/AIDS. In such a society, discrimination and social exclusion immediately come to mind. They believe and promote the dignity and right to life of positive people. The foundation provides care and support services. The foundation also undertakes regular community awareness programmes.
